1) How would you describe your style of music?

Hot shakin' female R&B

2) How did you get into this style of music?

My dad was listening to the 50's music.  Later, friends showed my some jazz, Blues & R&B.  I loved R n' B from the moment when I heard the first song.

3) How did you come up with your band name?

As almost every woman, I love flowers.  The flower lily is my favoriteflower, so I called myself Lily.  Also because nobody could pronounce my real name haha!  Moe.....let your fantasy run wild.

4) What is the background of your band members?

In April of 2014, I moved to Germany.  Due to the long distance to Switzerland, I have to find a backing band in Germany.  All of them play with several bands like Cherry Casino & The Gamblers, The Round Up Boys or Ike & The Capers.  Depending on where I'm going to play, I sometimes play with the Barnyard Stompers, Nico Duportal & His Rhythm Dudes or other musicians.

5) Who are they as individuals?

They are good friends and talented musicians!

6) Where can you purchase your music and or merchandise?

The easiest way is through the Rhythm Bomb website or Bear Family Records www.bear-family.deand Amazon.  You can also order it by sending me a message on facebook  If you order directly from me, I will sign the records.  Just let me know ;)

7) How long has your band been together?

I started with the Barnyard Stompers in 2011 and have been playing solo since the beginning.

8) What do you like the most about the Rockabilly scene?

Music, Music, Music!!

9) Who are your music idols, who influences your music?

I'm influenced by everything that I hear.  I would however say that Ruth Brown was one of my first idols.  Ann Cole, Peggy Lee, Big Maybelle and many more!

10) What future events do you have planned?

Well, I'm thinking about a new album.  I'm working on new material and can't wait to record some new stuff and a few gigs here and there.  There are many cool festivals in Europe, sadly I can't make it to all of them.  I hope that I can make I can make it to Viva Las Vegas next year!

11) Do your band members have day jobs or do they make their dime as professional musicians?

They are professional musicians.

12) If day jobs, what type of work do they do?

If they are doing something other than music, they are making art works for new releases, organizing events or festivals.

13) Do you or any of your band collect records?

I guess that all of us are collecting records.  Some of us more, some of us less.  Carsten has a real good collection as he is also deejaying.

14)If so, what do you/they collect?

I don't stick to one category.  I like 40's and 50's music but also like to have records of the bands of my friends.

15) What is your most memorable experience at a concert?

When my dad was for the first time at one of my shows.  His happy face and the tears in his eyes that showed me just how proud he was of me.

16) What was your funniest memory at a concert?

At one of my first shows, the saxaphone player from the Barnyard Stompers fell down from the stage during the show.

17) Is there anything that you would like to add about yourself or your band?.

I'm blessed! I can do what I love and I wanna say thank you to everyone who has supported me from the beginning.  And thank you East Coast Rockabilly Central for taking an interest in my music!
